DogWelly is part of WellyVentures. This notice describes the information used to run the DogWelly community. Contact the DogWelly team with privacy questions.

What we collect.

Your email, name, profile details, town and approximate coordinates; any dog profiles and photos you add; walks, circle memberships, invitations, messages, care arrangements and reports. Your browser provides technical information needed for secure sign-in and abuse prevention.

Who sees what.

Published walks and their public meeting points can be viewed without an account. Signed-in members can see member names, town, profiles and dogs. Your email and precise home address aren't part of your public profile. Circle conversations and care requests are restricted to circle members. Moderators can inspect reported content to investigate concerns. Reports are available to moderators.

How the service uses information.

We use account and community data to provide the service you request, send transactional messages, maintain security and respond to concerns. Optional email updates can be switched off in your account. We do not sell your personal data or automatically share your profile with the other Welly businesses for marketing.

Services that help us run DogWelly.

Cloudflare and the Sites hosting platform provide hosting, database and photo storage. Resend delivers email. Mapbox provides maps and location search and receives the location queries and technical information needed to do that. These providers may process information in countries other than yours.

Cookies and photos.

DogWelly uses an essential sign-in cookie to keep your session secure. This app does not include advertising pixels or third-party analytics. Photographs uploaded through the interface are resized in your browser before storage.

Keeping and deleting information.

We retain your community data while your account is active. You can edit your profile, download your data and delete your account in account settings. Deletion removes your active profile, dog profiles and messages, cancels your hosted walks, and ends your sessions. Reports may remain with the reporter's account reference removed so concerns can still be handled. Hosting-provider backups and security logs may remain for their operational retention periods.

Your choices and rights.

Ask us to access, correct, delete or restrict use of your personal information. Depending on where you live, you may also have rights to object, portability and to complain to your local data protection authority. Use the account controls or contact us above.
